Javier & Jenny BIO:

Gemini has a deep passion for salsa music and dance.

Jenny is a Portland native whose control and balance allow her the ability to do amazing spins and tricks. Javier is from Mérida, México and grew up watching and learning salsa from his mother.

His creativity and keen eye for picking up detail assist the couple in producing energetic and exciting choreography. In 2004, Javier and Jenny became the Viscount Ballroom Salsa Champions and won the Fernando’s Hideaway salsa competition.

In addition to performing and competing locally in Portland, they have traveled to Los Angeles and New York City to perform with the group Salsa Con Sabor.

Recently, Javier and Jenny have started to dance on their own under the name Gemini and hope that the 2005 West Coast Salsa Congress can be their début performance together at a large salsa event!
